Junior Designer

Bara is excited to add a junior graphic designer to its existing team of talented creatives.

  • 1-2 days per week

  • Freelancer contract

  • Minimum £23,000 FTE (actual fee based on experience)

  • 1 year contract after a successful 3 month trial

We are looking for a passionate, hard working and joyful individual with self-starter skills and an ethos which lines up with our values.

Your work will involve supporting the design team with a variety of creative tasks which could include logo and brand design, print layouts, illustrations, social media content production or mobile app concepts.

A formal qualification is not a requirement, but you will need to be confident using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Indesign, as well as having some real-world design experience. The role is for a freelancer, so you will need to provide your own insurances and ensure that you are abiding by UK tax law (more of this will be covered in the interview stage).

Due to our client-base, the ideal candidate will have experience of working in faith-based and/or charity sectors.

While the role is remote in nature, we’re limiting application consideration to those based in Bristol, as we do like to get the team together every now and then for socials, and many of our clients are based in Bristol with some of the work requiring in-person delivery.

  • Minimum 2 years experience in Adobe Indesign and Illustrator

  • Experience in brand identity design

  • Bristol location

  • Experience in charity and/or faith sector

  • Portfolio is available online or digital pdf
